Rebel Roots Herb Farm is our homestead located in Grey County, Ontario. It’s where we live, raise our 2 children and where we strive to create a healthy environment for our family and the many creatures that share the land with us. We believe in creating and maintaining a rich, bio-diverse, healthy habitat to grow our food and medicine and learn from.
We grow over 50 species of Medicinal Herbs, including Cannabis. We use our herbs to create healing medicines in the form of tinctures, teas, hydrosols and other herbal products. Much of the food we eat comes from our gardens, fruit tree orchard and our chickens. We are always learning and implementing new methods to create more closed loops on our farm. Currently we build soils using manure from our chickens, our compost, leaf mulch, wood chips, etc…. We plant various cover crops and use ‘green manures’ as well to build soil fertility. We practice vermi-composting, seed saving, and companion planting.
Our farm is also home to Earth Tracks Outdoor School where folks of all ages come to learn about Herbal Medicine, Wildlife Tracking, Land Stewardship, Naturalist Studies, Bush-craft & Survival and Deep Nature Connection.. Earth Tracks is committed to strengthening the natural connection people have to nature, themselves and building resilient communities
With the onset of legalization of Cannabis in Canada we now also operate Organigrow Canada- an educational platform designed to help people gain the knowledge to grow their own Cannabis Plants and learn techniques to make their own medicines from this amazing plant.
